The liver plays and important role in digestion.  It produces bile, a substance that breaks down fats.  Extra bile is sent to your gall bladder and stored there to break down an extra fatty meal.  Having too many poor quality days in the diet can cause sluggishness in both the liver and gall bladder.  

Liver and gall bladder  frequently get sluggish from a poor diet of  too much restaurant and take-out food.  

One simple food to add to your day  for clearing up the liver and gall bladder for better digestion is to eat an apple after your meal.  The malic acid in apples breaks down the fats that may have grown sluggish  in your liver.
