Summer Nutrition Intensive for You

You know the food you eat could be better. Much better.  It's mostly packaged, frozen, or take-out. Because of your intelligence and general knowledge about health, you have a growing unease about the long term effects of a substandard diet. But you want something practical and easy to put in place that works with your lifestyle.  If this is you, the summer intensive is the program that will show you how to make it happen.

Here are the options:

Option I.

4  one hour long sessions that include:

  1. a session where you will receive a detailed list of items that should be in every pantry and refrigerator to make it easy to prepare healthy meals in a snap

2.   a grocery store tour where we'll examine labels and purchase foods that you'll enjoy and find easy to prepare

3.   a session devoted to whole grains and vegetables and how to prepare them quickly and easily, and that taste good!

4.   a session devoted to menu planning, and anything else you would like to cover that is specific to your health concerns and goals.

When you complete this program you will have a wealth of information to start you on the path to healthy eating.

Cost for this 4 session program is $500; those who register by July 1 receive a $50 discount.

Option II.

this is a group program.  We will meet at Whole Foods in Dedham on Monday July 19 from 6-9pm where we will tour the store, carefully reading labels that will help you determine the value of the food. Following the tour we will move to a nearby conference room where you will learn how to prepare whole grains and incorpporate them into your daily meals. You will receive menu plans and copious recipes that are simple and quick to prepare. There will be ample time for questions and discussion of the various aspects of healthy eating - organic v. conventional, meat or vegetarian, energy drinks, dairy issues, gluten, etc.    

This is a 3 hour program; cost per person is $75.
