Chocolate Truffles
A Special Valentine's Day Treat
8 oz. bittersweet Chocolate (65%+ cacao) , chopped
1/2 cup heavycream
1 T. Grand Manier or other fruit flavored liqueur of your choice
1/2 t. coarse salt
Unsweeted cocoa powder for rolling
Place chopped chocoalte in abowl. Bring cream, liqueur and salt to a simmer in a small saucepan. Pour over chocolate and letstand for 2 minutes. Whisk until smooth.
Pour chocolate mixture into am 8" square baking dish and refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes.
Scoop chocolate into balls with a small ice cream r melon scoop. Roll balls in cocoa powder, tssing until fully coated.
Can be refrigerated.
Note: You may question why I would recommend such an indulgent kind of sweet. You will find when you eat something of this quality, you will be satisfied with much less than you would had you purchased a commercial product filled with inferior ingredients. With something spectacular, a little is just enough. Enjoy!
